Vancouver achieved about 90% of its housing target with 4,850 new homes, a 17% increase from last year. Of these, 86% were rentals. In two years, 9,000 units were completed, with 15,100 under construction and 30,900 expected within five years, surpassing the 28,900 target. Rental completions rose 60%, and the city promotes multiplexes near transit. Streamlined reviews, digital tools, fee deferrals, and rezonings support increased housing starts.
